Today the Remnant MC laid to rest one of the First Five (founding members). Although it was a sad day for the club, he was given the send off he'd have wanted.
Dean, like us all, had his demons. He was in a constant battle with his drug addiction and finally it got the better of him and he passed away during an incident of drug infused madness with the police.
Dean did a lot for the club, he spent a long time as the club's enforcer but stepped down to deal with personal matters. He played a part in doing work on the clubs property and giving the club the name and reputation it has today. He will be dearly missed by his brothers in the RMC and many others who knew him.
It all began with a peaceful ride from our clubhouse to our place north of the city to collect the body. We then rode to the burial site atop a hill near the observatory. A wonderful view. We all rode in perfect formation on matching sovereign bikes.
The funeral was a very private matter with only members of the RMC and the Leather Angels MC in attendance (alongside our two amazing funeral directors). It was a quiet occasion consisting of emotional music and touching words from all the attendees.
I can't thank everybody involved enough, it was truly a spectacle. This is what RP is all about. I'm pretty sure that it was so thought provoking that at least one participant shed a few tears.
In no particular order I would to thank:
